ANALYSIS
My first photo shoot is a portraiture photo shoot of which I believe consists mostly of symmetrical photographs. Firstly, I am going to decide on several photographs from the shoot of which I believe are the most successful. I am then going to edit the photographs I have chosen using Photoshop and hand drawn illustrations, using inspiration I have gathered from the artist I researched, ‘Nina Chakrabarti’. Once I have finished drawing upon the photographs I will scan them into the computer and edit them slightly further, once again using Photoshop. I will do this by slightly altering the curves and brightness of the photographs I have taken.

Above, I have displayed the three edited photographs of which I believe were the most successful out of all of my edits and photographs. Once I had chosen the photographs of which I believed to be the most successful, I began experimenting with them by using Photoshop to add illustrations. This was because Chakrabarti uses software upon the Apple mac to create the illustrations upon some pieces of her work and so I took inspiration from Chakrabarti and used Photoshop on the Apple mac to create this piece. However, I do not think this worked very effectively as I believe the illustrations look very weak and of a poor quality. Due to this, I decided to sketch the illustrations onto the photographs by hand, using a fine tip pen, as I believe that illustrations done by hand look much more effectively as using a pen enables you to be more precise with your illustrations and helps to create a clear, crisp result, unlike Photoshop. I ensured to choose photographs with a plain background, as I did not want attention to be drawn from the main focus of the photograph. I believe that the engagement with my subject of matter was consistent throughout this photo shoot as every photograph I have taken within this photo shoot were close ups.
