 I have chosen the topic of “Disguise” for the theme of my work, as I believe there are many different ways you are able to interpret this theme within photographs. This theme could lead me to various different things that I believe support the theme of disguise like possibly tattoos, make up and many other different things. I could also experiment by using different materials and Photoshop techniques to cover parts of my photographs as another form of disguise, which may lead me onto a mixed media form of work. I believe this theme is quite an open theme as there are so many different ways to interpret the theme into photographs, meaning I will be able to produce a very experimental project upon something I think I will enjoy greatly as not only will I be able to experiment using photography skills within Photoshop, but I will also possibly be able to interpret my art skills by working upon photographs to help produce much more effective work.

 

I will begin my project by firstly building up an inspiration page, using various ideas from Pinterest. I will then research many different photographers of which I believe interest me and fit well into my work like Nina Chakrabarti, for example, of who may lead me to create work inspired by her in the future. I will then begin taking various different photo shoots and start working into them using many different techniques both digitally and by hand, this will allow me to interpret my art and textiles skills into my work along with, of course, my photography skills.
